Admin note:

Cannington Shaw became UGB (United Glass Bottles) in 1913 following an amalgamation between CS and several other bottle makers. This was done to pool financial resources in order to enable the purchase of Owens machine technology from America. The Owens machine was the first fully automatic glass bottle making machine.
