A group of people came together in 2014 to help raise awareness of this historic structure. In 2018 the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust CIC was formed and a new and positive intention was set.

THE CANNINGTON SHAW PRESERVATION TRUST CIC

Formed in 2018, we exist to regenerate and repurpose the No.7 Bottle Shop.

Our plan is helped by Towns Fund, St Helens Borough Council and several other organisations. With work set to start in October 2023, we hope that within five years this globally significant space will be reimagined and become a benefit to the St Helens Community once more.

THE TEAM

Our group is drawn from many different spheres and skill sets, all forming a team with one purpose, to deliver a fully repurposed No: 7 Bottle Shop to take pride of place in the Boroughs pantheon of Heritage attractions and to symbolise the Towns rich history of innovation in both its past, present and future.

This special project promises to preserve and renew our rich heritage by pointing to the future.
